About Me
Aaron graduated from Northwestern University with a BA in Creative Writing, a time of frequent trips to Chicago’s Music Box Theatre where he was inspired by the films of Ingmar Bergman, the French New Wave, and Robert Altman. He then studied screenwriting in the MFA program at the University of New Orleans. While in New Orleans he worked on the feature film 99 Homes directed by Ramin Bahrani and starring Andrew Garfield, Laura Dern, and Michael Shannon in a Golden Globe nominated performance.
Pursuing his passion for filmmaking, Aaron moved to Los Angeles and worked for the Getty Museums where he saw his hero Francis Ford Coppola discuss the making of The Godfather. In between production jobs on student films, music videos, and a Sharknado movie, Aaron continued to write his own original screenplays. Recent positions managing a fly fishing camp and horseback riding ranch for the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado influenced him to discover new artistic paths with independent cinematography.
He currently works for The Empire Strips Back, an internationally touring burlesque parody of Star Wars. He also volunteers as a director and filmmaker for Visionbox Studio, a nonprofit theatre company in Denver founded by Yale School of Drama director Jennifer McCray Rincón and NYC/Hollywood actor Bill Pullman. Seeking to take the next steps in his career, Aaron is focused on bringing his original stories and unique background to the stage and screen.
